Notebook

Yakuza 0

Captain of the Tojo Clan's Dojima Family. The driving force behind the Dojima Family's rise to ascendancy within the Tojo Clan, Kazama is a yakuza of unparalleled skill and character. He also founded Sunflower an orphanage to provide for children like Kiryu and Nishikiyama with nowhere else to turn. He is presently serving time in prison after a gambling operation under his control was discovered by the police six months ago. About one month remains before his release.

Yakuza Kiwami

A legendary yakuza with a strict moral code of honor and humanity, trusted and admired by many. However, he is also a man stained by a dark past as the Tojo Clan's best hitman. He runs the Sunflower Orphanage, where Kiryu and Nishikiyama grew up. After reuniting with Kiryu at Sera's funeral, he is shot by Nishikiyama, and cared for by Shinji. When Kiryu finally finds him, Kazama reveals Mizuki's true identity, and the source of the missing money: Kyohei Jingu. Kazama shields Haruka from Shimano's grenade, and admits to Kiryu that he'd killed his parents.

Yakuza Kiwami 2

Deceased. Former patriarch of the Kazama Family, a Tojo Clan subsidiary. Kiryu thought of him as a father, as Kazama had raised him since he was little. While taking care of orphans such as Kiryu, Nishikiyama, and Yumi, he was also feared as one of the Tojo Clan's finest assassins. Nonetheless, the Sunflower Orphanage was built using his own funds to care for the children of those he killed. Even after his death, his ideals were taken up by people such as Kiryu and Terada, as he was a true yakuza who lives on in the hearts of those those he touched.
