Yakuza 0
Member of the Dojima Family, part of the Tojo Clan, kingpins of eastern Japan's yakuza. Orphaned young, he was raised at Sunflower Orphanage. Once of age, he swore his oath to Dojima to follow in the footsteps of Sunflower patron and Dojima Family Captain, Shintaro Kazama. While lacking in cunning and savvy, his raw masculinity and fighting prowess have earned him notice.
Yakuza Kiwami
Kiryu was raised alongside Nishikiyama at Sunflower Orphanage, where their admiration of Shintaro Kazama set them on the yakuza's path. He is acknowledged as the "Dragon of Doima" because of the tattoo on his back. After serving ten years in prison, Kiryu returns to Kamurocho and finds himself caught up in the Tojo Clan's conflict over its missing 10 billion yen. He learns from Kazama that Mizki's true identity was Yumi all along, and that the money belonged to a politician named Jingu. Kiryu and Haruka go to Ares, where Yumi waits.
Yakuza Kiwami 2
The former fourth chairman of the Tojo Clan, a yakuza organization in control of eastern Japan. Kiryu is known throughout the Japanese underworld as the legendary Dragon of Dojima. He recently left the yakuza life behind to live peacefully alongside Haruka Sawamura, the daughter of his late love, Yumi. However, one year after the Ten Billion Yen Incident, he witnesses an attack on the Tojo Clan's fifth chairman, Yukio Terada, the man he named as his successor. With this, he gets swept up into the war with the formidable Omi Alliance of Kansai.
